super.engineering Adds Shell Commands To Chat
super.engineering, a native macOS workspace for parallel AI coding agents, now lets developers run shell commands directly from chat with autocomplete, live output, Esc-to-stop controls, and optional result sharing with the agent. The feature tightens the loop between conversational coding and terminal workflows.
This is a small UX change with outsized practical value: developers can stay in the agent workspace without sacrificing direct shell control.
- –Autocomplete and live output make chat-based command execution feel closer to a real terminal
- –“Add to chat” keeps noisy command output out of agent context until it is actually useful
- –Opening agent-generated commands in a terminal supports review-before-run workflows
- –Esc-to-stop is essential when commands hang, stream indefinitely, or behave unexpectedly
- –The feature further positions super.engineering as an agent control plane rather than just another coding chat
