Vercel Schedules Opens Public Beta
Vercel Schedules is now publicly available on all plans for recurring or one-time jobs across production, preview, and custom environments. Developers can define static schedules in code targeting functions, HTTP paths, or queue topics, or create dynamic schedules at runtime targeting queue topics.
Vercel is turning cron from deployment-time configuration into a runtime primitive for applications and agents.
- –Dynamic schedules eliminate much of the database-plus-polling glue required for user-specific jobs
- –Private function invocation improves security by removing public endpoints for scheduled workloads
- –Preview and custom-environment support makes scheduled behavior easier to test before production
- –Existing Cron Jobs remain compatible, but Schedules adds on-demand runs, enable/disable controls, and queue integration
- –Pro and Enterprise pricing starts at $5 per 1M runs plus $10 per 1M schedule creations; Hobby includes 5,000 runs and 500 creations monthly
